Schedule 2010

 

For 2010 there are no teaching or public events planned. Instead three new and exciting projects will be taking shape.

The first is a limited edition pop-up collaboration with Margaret Prentice for Hand Papermaking. Margaret has cast a cover sheet, base sheet, and pre-formed moving parts. Now, my job is to assemble all the pieces into a splendid pop-up. Our finished presentation will be part of a portfolio called Handmade Paper in Motion. The next developing project is a silk-screeened tunnel book with movable parts. I've been working on the pieces at the Manhattan Graphics Center with a lot of help from Margaret Nussbaum. Check back here for new updates.

Later in 2010 Steve and I will start construction on BookHaven, our new home/studio. Once the project gets underway it will be necessary to spend more time upstate working with our builder Art Coldwell and his team of engineers, excavators, and carpenters. Details will be posted at artistbooks.com/haven

 

Please understand if it proves difficult to get in touch with me. I may at a friend's studio assembling the pop-up, or downstate silk-screening, or upstate keeping an eye on construction.

But, this is a small world and I'll look forward to when our paths cross again!
